Moy Lin-Shin was born in China in 1931. Moy moved to Hong Kong before the Communist Revolution and continued his study of the martial arts. He studied the forms of Yang style Tai Chi, Qigong, Lok Hup, Hsin-l, and Bagua. Moy emigrated to Canada in 1970 and began teaching a small group of dedicated students. He soon changed the focus of his moves from the aggressive martial arts to a form of Tai Chi that emphasized slow fluid movements of turning, stretching, posture and balance.
